How to Use Mass Gainers
For hardgainers who struggle to eat enough — a calorie-dense shake on top of meals.
What it's for
Mass gainers pack significantly more carbs and calories per serving than a regular protein shake — some go past 1,000 calories a scoop. They're for people who genuinely struggle to eat enough food to grow, not a replacement for regular meals.
How to mix it
Check your tub — servings and scoop counts vary a lot between products (some are 1 scoop, some are 3-4). Mix with milk rather than water if you want the extra calories; water keeps it lighter if a product already runs very calorie-dense for you.
When to take it
Between meals or after training, on top of your normal eating — not instead of it. Splitting a serving across the day (half mid-morning, half evening) is easier to get down than one huge shake if the calorie count is high.
Tips
Start with a half serving if you're new to gainers — the carb load can sit heavy until your system adjusts. If you're gaining fat faster than muscle, that's a sign to dial back the serving or the frequency, not to stop training.
General guidance only — always follow the dosage on your product's own label, and check with a doctor first if you're pregnant, on medication, or managing a health condition.
